Jesus with Mary and Martha
Martha was distracted by her many tasks; so she came to him and asked, “Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me to do all the work by myself?” But the Lord answered her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and distracted by many things; there is need of only one thing. Mary has chosen the better part, which will not be taken away from her.”
~ Luke 10:40-42
This window, which is a stylistic and chronological partner to the other window in the rear of the sanctuary (Ruth and Boaz), was donated by the Herman Wagner family. At the top of the window we see a cup surrounded by some green leaves. The cup should stand for a Communion cup; the green leaves may symbolize eternal life through His death and resurrection.
A date for the installation of these two windows could not be found.
