Soldiers’ Art Glass Window

Peter cried out, “Lord, save me!” Jesus immediately reached out his hand and caught him, saying to him, “You of little faith, why did you doubt?” ~ Matthew 14:30, 31 This huge window is called the Soldiers’ window because it was put up in memory of the members of this congregation who served in, and who died in, World War 1. The names on the sides are of those men in the church who served; the middle three of Arthur Ruesch, Harry Guenther, and Waldo Brown are those who perished in the War. You can see the Easter lilies on one side, perhaps a silent witness to the gospel hope of eternal life through Christ. It was donated in 1920.
