St. Peter's United Church of Christ in Skokie and Evanston Pride have partnered to present 5 Lesbians Eating a Quiche, brought to you by Mosaic Players, a traveling theatre troupe whose work embraces social justice, human rights, and equality. 5 Lesbians Eating a Quiche is a scintillating satire of women's roles in the 1950s, enlisting its characters in a caricature of the sexism, heterosexism, consumerism, and Communism exuberant in the era.

Enter St. Peter’s UCC church basement at 8013 Laramie Avenue in Skokie, and you will find members of the Susan B. Anthony Society for the Sisters of Gertrude Stein, a coterie of egg-headed widows gathering to eat quiche and kvetch in this absurdly adorable and unapologetic declaration of lesbi-independence. This show is interactive … guests are invited to dress in 50’s garb and put on a “Hello, my name is” nametag when they arrive! After the performance, there will be a Q&A with the cast and a light meal of quiche and desserts for the audience. Come join us for an evening of fun, food, and the fabulous ‘50s like you’ve never seen them before!

Parking is available in the lot directly east of the building, and the church is easily accessible by public transportation, located across from the Skokie Library just a few blocks west of the Oakton stop on the CTA Yellow Line. Wheelchair accessibility for our basement is through the Laramie Street entrance, including a drop-off area and ramps to navigate short stairs.

5 Lesbians Eating a Quicheis presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Samuel French, Inc.
