Holy Week at St. Peter’s UCC Skokie

Holy Week is a special time at St. Peter’s, and we are especially thrilled in 2022 to invite everyone back into our sanctuary, or to join us live on YouTube! We offer the complete array of worship experiences, which include Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Sunday. All services will be livestreamed, and include traditional elements – palms on Palm Sunday, the sacrament of the Lord’s Supper on Maundy Thursday, and the Last Words of Christ on Good Friday. On Easter Sunday we will have a special coffee hour following worship, with Rainbow Goodie Bags* filled with eggs for children. We hope you’ll join us as we celebrate these holiest of days in the Christian faith. All are welcome – we are an Open and Affirming Congregation, and we invite all families and persons in our community to join us.

Palm Sunday: April 10th at 10am - Welcome Jesus into Jerusalem with us!

Maundy Thursday: April 14th at 7pm – Partake of the Last Supper, whether at home or in person

Good Friday: April 15th at 7pm – Jesus's 7 last words will all be a part of our service.

Easter Sunday Worship: April 17st at 10am – Join us as we celebrate the Risen Christ!

*Due to COVID concerns, we are suspending the Egg Hunt for Kids for one more year. St. Peter’s follows CDC guidelines for COVID safety. Masks are not required in the building but are encouraged for people who feel more comfortable wearing them. Hand sanitizer and masks are provided at every entrance. Socially distant seating is still provided, with an overflow area in our Memorial Room where you can view the service on our TV.
